They are done on a 12" x15" box canvas and painted using watercolours, which makes them totally unique. The backgrounds are sometimes done in emulsion paints, as when covering a large area it gives the smoothest and most even background, making the bird the main subject of the painting. They can easily be hung on the wall, but most people that have purchased them in the past have removed the wooden frame and put them into a picture frame, I do advise them to place a mount between the painting and the glass in order to help protect the painting.
